ABOUT
Christopher Beaton is a director and screenwriter whose work blends dark comedy, drama, and irreverence with a sharp eye for character. A graduate of USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, he began his career as an actor before moving behind the camera, where his training continues to inform his approach to performance and storytelling.
His films include NUMB (winner of Best Dramatic Short at the First Look Industry Awards, 2021) and the feature Voodoo Macbeth (USC Originals & Warners Bros), which screened at festivals nationwide—including Heartland and Cleveland—and secured domestic theatrical distribution in 2022. His feature script The Ballad of Ella & Dean was a finalist at the PAGE Screenwriting Awards, and he is currently developing several projects, including his feature Fontus.
As a filmmaker, Beaton creates stories at the intersection of drama and comedy, probing systems of power with the intent to challenge — and entertain.
